Juan Fernández Bocángel has served with the Prayer League since 2009. For 14 years in Bolivia, he partnered with Lutheran churches across Latin America in discipleship/leadership development, helping establish the online Lutheran Seminary of Theology (SLT) in 2022. He and wife Anne currently serve at WMPL’s Home Office in the U.S. Juan continues working with SLT, also serving as Assistant Regional Director (ARD) for North America.
Kathy Cummings joined Grace Lutheran’s Missions and Service Team in February 2023. She serves as editor of Mission Connect (a special mission-focused edition of Grace’s newsletter, Grace Vine), which relates correspondence and updates monthly from Grace’s ministry partners to the congregation. Kathy also coordinates Grace’s annual Missions Festivals.
David Tran, born in 1991, is a Liberty University graduate in Christian Ministries and Discipleship. Based in Ho Chi Minh City with his wife, he serves the Lord through ESL ministry, his local Baptist church, and mission work with the BGEA and ALWM. Duc is dedicated to making disciples and reflecting Christ through medical missions and clean water initiatives.
Pastor Mark Wilhelm serves as Director of Donor Growth and Formation for the Spiritual Orphans Network, helping connect churches to global mission opportunities and deepen discipleship engagement. He writes and speaks on stewardship, discipleship, spiritual formation and connecting churches in mission partnership cross-culturally.
Rev. Dr. Mark E. Ryman has served as Pastor for St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Salisbury, NC, since 2021. Previously, Pastor Ryman served congregations in North Carolina and Ohio, as well as a call to specialized ministry with Sola Publishing. He is pictured here with his dog, Wyclif.
Katherine Eppley, a daughter of the most-High King, disciple of Christ, sister, wife and mother, works as an English as a Second Language (ESL) instructor for Adult Education programs in the greater Phoenix, AZ, area. She and husband Matthew, married for 32 years, have 3 grown children.
Pastor Valery Hryhoryk, a teacher of English and German, became a Christian in 1992. He founded Belarus Lutheran Missionary Fellowship (BLMF) in 2005 and Good Books publishers in 2006. In 2017 he was called to be a NALC Global Worker in Belarus. He and his wife, Tanya, have a son, Anton.
Terry Fee has worn many “hats” at Good Shepherd, including Global Mission leader, Outreach and Missions chair, and Congregation president. She is a retired attorney.
